Sonoma Farm Hatchery is a non-profit 501(c)3 shared-use commercial kitchen located in Shelby, IN.  Our mission is to support local communities by fostering entrepreneurship in the food production industry. We provide local chefs, non-profits, entrepreneurs, farmers and restaurants with commercial grade kitchen resources to bring their ides to life.

All food production that is meant for sale within the United States must be produced in licensed kitchens that meet FDA and local state regulations. Meeting these requirements presents a high financial barrier of entry that is unattainable for most small food entrepreneurs who are just starting out.

Upfront investments can cost up to $100,000.

With Sonoma Farm Hatchery getting your product from initial concepts and into your customers’ hands has never been easier.

Our space is outfitted to serve multiple companies under one roof. Each space is set up to function independently of one another and allows each of our food producers to prep, cook and clean within the same space for each scheduled shift.

Our kitchens can accommodate various processes that are subject to certain dietary restrictions or regultaions such as nut allergies, kosher diets, artisan baking, gluten free, organic, and vegan.

Our commercial kitchen, pagkaging and storage facilities give food and beverage startups a competitive advantage by providing affordable and certifed kitchens for food prep and packaging.

Food entrepreneus ranging form chefs, caterers, food trucks, bakers, beverage processors, restraunteurs to made produced grocery and food products can benefit from a shared kitchen instead of investing that capital to build or lease their own facility.
